Answers to common questions
What does KeepMeTrue do?
It shows you what your AI assistants remember about you, helps you decide what's right, and helps you keep them all the same. Everything is checked and kept on your device.
Which AIs does it work with?
The AI assistants most people use, including ChatGPT, Claude and Gemini. The app lists the ones it supports, and more will come.
How do I check an AI?
- Open KeepMeTrue and tap Check next to the AI.
- Copy the question KeepMeTrue gives you and paste it into that AI.
- Share the AI's answer back to KeepMeTrue. If there's no share button, copy the answer and paste it in.
KeepMeTrue then sorts what the AI remembers into topics for you to look over.
Can I use KeepMeTrue without installing an app?
While we test it, yes. Open the link you were sent directly in your browser. On a phone, also add KeepMeTrue to your home screen:
- iOS: tap the share button in your browser, then tap "Add to Home Screen". You may need to scroll.
- Android: tap "Add to home screen" in KeepMeTrue. If that doesn't work, tap the menu (⋮) in your browser, then tap "Add to home screen" or "Install app".
Always open it from your home screen: on iOS, the browser may delete a page's saved data after 7 days without a visit, but pages opened from the home screen keep it. Save a backup file now and then. See Privacy.
Where are my checks kept?
On your device, secured with your code. Only you can read them. A later version will also let you keep a locked copy in your own cloud drive or in KeepMeTrue's locked cloud. See Privacy.
Can you see what my AI remembers about me?
No. Your checks are secured on your device with your code, and we never receive the code.
I forgot my code
We can't reset it. If you saved a backup, restore from it and make a new code. Without a backup, no one can open your checks, including us, and you can delete them and start again.
I have a new device
Save a backup file on the old device, then open it on the new one with the backup's password.
I asked my AI to change something, but it's still there
An AI can say "Got it" and still keep the old detail. KeepMeTrue helps you fix it: it gives you the words to send your AI and shows you where that AI keeps its memory settings.
In the end, each AI's memory is run by the company that makes it, so a fix only counts once you see the change in those settings. If the detail is still there, you can delete or edit it there yourself. Your next check shows whether it stayed fixed.
How do I delete everything?
In settings, you can delete all your checks at once. That deletes them from your device. Deleting the app deletes what it keeps on that device, and in the web version you can also remove the home screen icon. A backup file you saved stays until you delete it.
Is KeepMeTrue made by an AI company?
No. KeepMeTrue is independent and isn't connected to any AI company.
How much does it cost?
KeepMeTrue is free while we test it.
